Wrestling 30th October Cancelled

posted 26 Oct 2011 07:50 by Hall Supervisor   [ updated 27 Oct 2011 11:55 ]

...as far as I know. I've been trying for a couple of weeks to get hold of anyone at Varsity Pro Wrestling without success and given that the usual posters are absent from the town and it's not advertised on their website I think we'll have to assume this isn't on Sunday. Sorry to anyone who was planning to come.

Update: I've finally made contact and indeed Sunday is off but they're aiming to return the end of November or start of December.

There is no Zumba class next week, Tuesday 25th October

Disaster Averted

Thanks to swift and decisive action by the Drill Hall's emergency
squad of carbonated drink disposal specialists a potentially catastrophic sugary beverage spillage from a precariously poised glass was narrowly avoided. The officer in charge at the scene commented, "This is an all to common scenario which can easily be prevented by more careful placement of drinks receptacles". He also attempted a joke about tumbling tumblers which is best left unreported.
